The School of Computing at Edinburgh Napier University runs a series of free half day workshops and seminars related to its practice-based Masters degree in Project & Programme Management. On the afternoon of Wednesday 16th September I will be speaking at one such event, drawing on work on information systems project success factors that I recently completed with Dr Robert Irvine.
The workshop schedule will encourage discussion of the complexity of IT project success factors and their possible impact on IT project success, as well as project management maturity models and how these articulate with IT project success. There will be an opportunity to review and analyse exemplar projects, and to investigate their success (and failure) factors. By the end of the session delegates will have considered IT project success factors in their own organisations and be ready to identify the next steps to IT project success.
Other speakers at the event are Pritam Chita (Programme Leader of the practice-based Masters degree in Project & Programme Management) and Trish Igoe (Confident Futures consultant).
The workshop takes place on Wednesday 16th September from 13:00 to 16:30 in room B32 of Edinburgh Napier University’s Merchiston Campus. If you would like to attend this workshop, please email Lynsey Cormack-Roux at L.Cormack-Roux@napier.ac.uk to register interest. Places are limited so it is advisable to book early.
