Earlier this year, the Platform to Platform project team responded to a call from colleagues at the University of Oxford for submissions of Second World War stories to the Their finest hour archive.

This archive has been brought together by researchers and volunteers working since 2022 to capture stories and artefacts related to the war that were previously inaccessible to the public.

We are delighted that our podcast series based on Lorna Lloyd’s Diary of the war was added to the archive last month. It is now one of the 25,000 items that are free to view, share, and reuse for research and educational purposes. We hope that its inclusion here will further extend the reach of Lorna Lloyd‘s extraordinary testimony of living through the early months of the Second World War.
