Edinburgh Napier University is currently running an Inclusivity Week. Those of us involved in gender equality initiatives at the University through our Athena SWAN work are contributing to the week’s events.
For example, our School Academic Champions for Athena SWAN hosted a stand at the Inclusivity Fair last Thursday, and my colleague Eleni Theodoraki and I are delivering presentations at the Inclusivity Week Symposium this afternoon. While I will be speaking about Athena SWAN from an institutional perspective, Eleni will discuss her experiences as the Academic Champion for Athena SWAN in the Business School in a paper entitled The Business School’s Athena SWAN Journey: exploring boundaries, setting aspirations, enacting processes.
The slides for my presentation are available on SlideShare and below.
After our presentations we are looking forward to attending the ARISE lecture and learning more about disability and diversity from Tom Shakespeare, Professor of Disability Research at the Norwich Medical School.
