Last week my colleague Alistair Duff made two broadcasts related to our research centre’s AHRC-funded InGSoC project.
In the first Alistair gave an interview on the flagship current affairs radio programme Good Morning Scotland. He discussed the social role of expert opinion and its future, and questioned whether e-pundits – such as bloggers and other online voices – will be able to fulfil the vital social functions of the press effectively. The interview is available on iPlayer at 1:47:35 into the programme for one week from the date of broadcast, i.e. until Wednesday 20th February 2013. The second broadcast is a short video about the project on the Edinburgh Napier YouTube channel.
We are currently recruiting for two positions related to the InGSoC project: (1) a Research Fellowship; (2) a funded PhD studentship. We are welcoming applications for both posts until the deadline of this Friday 22nd February.
