Centre for Social Informatics PhD student Rachel Salzano is currently seeking submissions for a public exhibition of art work to represent the reasons that refugees and asylum seekers use UK public library services. Rachel will be pleased to feature all types of art work in the exhibition, including, for example, photographs, paintings, collages, and 3D creations.

Refugees and asylum seekers are invited to contact Rachel by email (R.Salzano@napier.ac.uk) before 21st June 2021 to arrange for submission of their creations. There is no limit to the number of submissions that an individual can make.

Rachel would like include in the exhibition a description of each creation, and the story about public library use that it represents. She will therefore arrange to speak to each contributor to gather this information, then add it to the display.

The exhibition will be available to view both online and in person (in Edinburgh, when the lifting of pandemic restrictions allows). There will be prizes for the most popular exhibits, based on a public vote.
