Two exciting new vacancies at Edinburgh Napier University: Lecturer in Business Information Technology; Professor of Creative & Interactive Computing

The vacancies are for full-time permanent posts within the Creative and Social Informatics Subject Group at Edinburgh Napier University. The Creative and Social Informatics Subject Group is one of three focus areas for research and teaching in the School of Computing. My Research Group – the Centre for Social Informatics – is one of the two Research Groups within this Subject Group.

The vacancies are for:

  1. Lecturer in Business Information Technology, salary £40,322 to £49,553, interviews anticipated to take place on 12th March
  2. Professor of Creative and Interactive Computing, salary £64,603 to £73,630, interviews anticipated to take place on 2nd and 9th March

Lecturer vacancies at Edinburgh Napier University: (1) Interaction Design; (2) Interactive Audio

We are currently advertising two lecturer posts within the Creative and Social Computing Teaching Group within the School of Computing at Edinburgh Napier University. One is in Interaction Design, and the other Interactive Audio. The closing date for both vacancies is 5th April. McMaster Library Research Symposium 2017 #lib_research17

McMaster University logoLast month I participated at a second McMaster Library Research Symposium. This was hosted along the lines of an inaugural event held on November 3rd 2015.

I was delighted to have the opportunity to renew friendships at the 2017 symposium, make new connections with academics and practitioners from a range of library settings who are interested in library and information science research, and deliver a closing paper on the main findings of the CILIP/ARA Workforce Mapping Project and the impact of this work to date (slides for which are available on SlideShare). Appointment to International Programme Committee of EBLIP9 #EBLIP9

EBLIP9 logoI have recently accepted an invitation to serve on the international programme committee of the 9th Evidence Based Library and Information Practice Conference. Hosted by Drexel University (located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA), the conference takes place next year from 18th to 21st June 2017.
