Applications are invited for two fully-funded PhD studentships within the Centre for Social Informatics at Edinburgh Napier University. These are:

  1. Enhancing labour market intelligence using machine learning to be supervised by Dr David Brazier, Dr Dimitra Gkatzia, Dr Matthew Dutton, and Alistair Lawson
  2. Gendered information landscapes and their impact on routes into, and through, apprenticeships to be supervised by Dr Ella Taylor-Smith, Professor Sally Smith, and Dr Colin Smith

An SGSSS-Scottish Government internship for Lyndsey Middleton

SGSSS logoEach year the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science (SGSSS), of which Edinburgh Napier University is part, offers a number of 3-month full-time internships for PhD students. These provide opportunities for second and third year PhD students to develop a range of transferable skills, enhance their employability, and gain experience of working within a public sector organisation in a short (funded) break from their PhD studies. Digital engagement report published #digiCC

The report presents findings from the Scottish Government sponsored workshops led in October and November 2015 by my research centre colleagues Peter Cruickshank and Dr Bruce Ryan.
