This blog post was updated in March 2018 to include links to the full text of seven manuscripts of articles developed from nine of the papers presented by CSI staff at i3 2017. These articles will be published in the Journal of Librarianship and Information Science (JoLIS) later in 2018.

Information: interactions and impact (i3) 2017 took place at Robert Gordon University at the end of last month from Tuesday June 27th until Friday June 30th 2017, with a packed programme for delegates who had travelled to Aberdeen from across the world. As in previous years, staff and research students from the Centre for Social Informatics (who didn’t have too far to travel) enjoyed participating at the event. Journal of Information Science i3 conference 2015 special issue now available #i3rgu

This is a special issue of the journal that comprises twelve articles developed from 54 papers presented at the Information: Interactions and Impact (i3) conference held in Aberdeen in June 2015. Information Science Scotland plans for 2013/14

Information Science Pathway logoToday I travelled to Perth to attend the first meeting of Information Science Scotland for this academic year. Information Science Scotland is a consortium of the four Scottish Universities that offer courses and conduct research in Information Science. Representatives from departments of each university meet on a regular basis to plan the group’s activities.

A day at i3: information, interactions and impact #i3rgu

i3 logoEvery two years information science researchers gather in Aberdeen for the i3: information, interactions and impact conference hosted by the Department of Information Management at Robert Gordon University (RGU). The most recent i3 conference was held at the end of last month, running from Tuesday 25th until Friday 28th June.
